Women are not allowed to enjoy sports!
Since 1978 revolution, Iran’s government has been trying to make new rules to control women more than ever. As I have mentioned one of them is hijab. However sometimes a dictator country doesn’t write all the rules down. In this way, world cannot find the truth easily. In other words, they can have a reasonable constitutional law for a subject, but they don’t care about it in action. Women in Iran are not allowed to soccer’s stadiums for males contests as a spectator. They think soccer stadiums is not a good envirment for women. The other belief is women can distract male players and spectators. Moreover, they believe if since the 1978, men were the only spectators, it is hard to have both genders in stadium at the same time even though their sections are totally apart. I agree that this process can take time but if Iran really want to make a change. It cannot be changed until women can get into the stadiums freely. Recently women were allowed to buy tickets, but they couldn’t get in almost every time. It doesn’t make sense to sell tickets but don’t let women in. The government keep making the same excuses every year. This is happening while they don’t try to pave the way to make the women’s entrance possible. Recently women even have problem to buy tickets for games like basketball or volleyball or even use their tickets to get into games too. Women used to cheer Iran’s volleyball national team while they were sitting at their chair on volleyballs stadiums. Nevertheless, they are not allowed to go to games anymore just because they are females. It’s been almost 40 years that government have proven to us that they really don’t want to give us the freedom we deserve. Every year someone promised to change it, but it will stay the same or even get worse. There is even no law about not allowing women spectators in the stadium in Iran’s constitutional law. Iranian women are not second class citizens.
We want our freedom back!!!!
